The Republic of Turkey turns 100 this weekend. Amberin Zaman at Al Monitor was kind enough to invite me on her podcast to talk about it. You can listen to it here, or just look up On the Middle East with Amberin Zaman wherever you listen to podcasts.

It was a great opportunity to take a bird’s eye view of Turkish politics. Amberin and I disagreed on some things, which is always a good way to sharpen one’s thinking. If you end up listening to it and have an opinion, leave me a comment!
